There is nothing more I love than love.

Romance films or movies are love stories created in visual media for broadcast in theaters and on TV that focus on passion, emotion, and the affectionate romantic involvement of the main characters and the adventures their love presents. There are many subcategories of romance, a very popular one being romantic comedies. Heartbreak between the main characters is a common theme seen in these films. This is used because it is proven successful, it is what the audience expects to happen. Most audiences watch these kinds of films to satisfy their ideas of happily ever after. These productions are particularly marketed toward adult female audiences as they tend to be hopeless romantics and can relate to the content. Typical themes of romance films surround around sexuality, gender, and relationships. Some films use voice-overs to introduce the love tone and allow the audience to feel more connected to the main character. Typical storylines of romance are the characters go their separate ways because of and argument or disagreement but the reunite afterward because they are each other's soulmate. Wedding bells, hearts, and flowers are present in these movies, they all resemble love. One last main thing presented in these movies is a hardship to make it more relatable. These hardships can range from a deathly illness of the main character to the death of a family member. This makes the piece more heartfelt and emotional. Two-shots are the most prominent camera angle used in romance films since the story is based on two people. In post-production elements such as music and color shifts may be added to dramatize the movie. Costume designs vary but it wouldn't be uncommon for the main characters may be seen dressed in red or pink to indicate love and passion.
