More discussion

Yesterday my group was put into a Microsft teams channel which is basically like a breakout room. We discussed how we need a plan B and started to brainstorm that. In the past, Janey was the one reaching out to the dance team and yesterday we decided that I should try and reach out too so that it doesn't become overwhelming just one person checking in. Today I sent the text message to one of the dancers so now we sit and wait for a response...again. We spent an hour bouncing ideas off each other for a plan B. We know we definitely want to stick around the topic of dance because it is what we are most passionate about. We believe that if we stick to something we are passionate about the quality of our project will definitely reflect it. During the second quarter, our class was assigned a project to create a short documentary. Janey and I worked together to create a documentary of the dance studio she is currently training at and the studio I previously trained at. That project came with challenges of its own. At first, we wanted to do a documentary about the studio's artistic director and how she got to where she is now, it is truly an inspiring story. This did not end up happening though because the day we were going to film a lot of students on the competition team tested positive for the coronavirus and Janey and I had to completely switch what we were planning to do. In the end, it all worked out, we changed the topic of our documentary from the origins of the studio to how the studio is currently dealing with the pandemic. This situation was essentially a "when one door closes another door opens." Thinking about it now that blip in our project should have taught us to always have a plan B. I have attached the documentary project to this blog if you want to check it out! My next blog will be an in-depth of our backup plan.
