Filming Day!

Since the last time I blogged about the filming day, the time changed. We still filmed on Wednesday, March 24th but we originally planned to meet around 5:15ish. One of the girls had a last-minute doctor's appointment and got back to the campus around 6:30 PM and the other had a meeting get pushed up which ended at 6 PM. Janey and I planned to meet at the campus at 5:50 PM to walk around filming B-roll and deciding exactly where we want to film. The plan to meet at 5:50 PM sounded nice in theory but in reality, it took close to an hour and a half to get down there due to traffic. We ended up stepping foot on campus at 6:10ish and sunset was around 7:34 PM. By then one of the girls was out of her meeting so she joined us for B-roll footage and put her input on where she thought we should film. Janey filmed the majority of the B-roll footage including the infamous "U" statue. 

Like I mentioned in my last blog we filmed outside at the lake so noise was definitely an issue. Obviously, if we are filming at the University of Miami we are going to take advantage of their beautiful sunny weather and outside scenery. Being that we are outside there were a lot of background noises such as people talking, birds squawking, and the wind so we decided to use voice memos just as an extra precaution. I made a new recording for every question we asked and named it accordingly. We gave the questions to the interviewees in advance but were unable to get an interview with a coach. 

We finished filming in perfect timing, a sorority planned a movie night on the Lakeside Patio Stage and the movie started just after we filmed our last clip which I have attached.

I was accepted into this wonderful university and made the difficult decision of choosing a different school to attend. I really love the university and the campus and do hope to attend Miami if I choose to pursue a law degree.
